Construction Technology & Innovation
Our programme evaluating construction robotics and modern methods of construction for Saudi sites.
Safe Hands is evaluating construction robotics and modern methods of construction to build faster, safer and with less waste on Saudi projects. We assess each technology against site conditions, safety and quality, pilot it under our own procedures, and scale what works. Technology partnerships will be announced once agreements are formalised.
Why It Matters in Saudi Arabia
National direction
The Ministry of Municipalities & Housing’s Modern Construction Initiative promotes six approved techniques: precast concrete systems, lightweight cellular concrete, tunnel formwork, insulated concrete forms, lightweight prefabricated units and structures, and prefabricated concrete units.
Industry investment
PIF and its companies are investing in modular housing, robotics and smart-building manufacturing in the Kingdom — so contractors who can work with these methods will be ready for the next generation of projects.
Site realities
Heat, remote locations and tight programmes make productivity, safety and consistent quality the biggest gains technology can offer.
What We Are Evaluating
Areas under evaluation in our programme. None is presented as a delivered service until it has been piloted on our sites.
Automated layout & marking
Robotic printing of floor layouts directly from drawings to cut setting-out errors.
Rebar tying automation
Machines that tie rebar intersections on decks and slabs, reducing repetitive strain.
Autonomous earthmoving
Retrofit autonomy for excavation and grading on large civil sites.
Wearable lift assistance
Exoskeletons and lift-assist devices to reduce injuries during manual handling.
Robotic inspection
Remote-operated and crawler robots to inspect pipes, sewers, tanks and confined spaces without sending people in.
Offsite & modular construction
Precast, prefabricated and modular systems in line with the Modern Construction Initiative.
Low-carbon building products
Concrete products and blocks with lower embodied carbon or recycled content.
Digital site management
Drone surveys and digital progress tracking feeding our PMO reporting.
How We Evaluate
1. Assess
Fit with Saudi codes, climate, site conditions and our scopes of work.
2. Pilot
A controlled trial on a live site under our HSE and quality procedures, with measured results.
3. Scale
Roll out what improves safety, quality or programme, with trained Saudi operators.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Safe Hands use construction robotics?
We run a programme evaluating construction robotics and modern methods of construction for Saudi sites. Technology partnerships will be announced once agreements are formalised.
Which modern construction methods are approved in Saudi Arabia?
The Modern Construction Initiative of the Ministry of Municipalities & Housing lists six techniques: precast concrete systems, lightweight cellular concrete, tunnel formwork, insulated concrete forms, lightweight prefabricated units and structures, and prefabricated concrete units.
Can I pilot a new construction technology with Safe Hands?
Yes. Developers and technology providers can contact us to discuss a site pilot. Every pilot runs under our HSE and quality procedures before wider roll-out.
